Predicted this, but I’m still glad this was the conclusion we got instead of going the sad route.

Also pretty hilarious seeing the group kicking Leo while he was down. Probably their only chance ever to do so before he’s recovered, lol

Really loved this show from start to end.

BniX • 1 year ago

For those who want to continue

Anime Adapted

Manga Chapters 1 - 16.1
LN Volume 1

I have not read both but this anime was WAY better than what I expected it to be when I first started watching it so I'm definitely gonna continue it

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

Oh this was only one volume? I guess the information of this being a full adaptation I got was incorrect.

Kirito • 1 year ago

If there's second season I wouldn't mind it, like how Leo and ecchidna would make humanity and monster coexist building this world together

Nikola Nikolov • 1 year ago

yup i wouldn't mind watching that as long as we get some romance furthering there relationship I'm good ^_^

Shannon Forsberg • 1 year ago

Leo and shutina

Thrace ecarhT • 1 year ago

Shutina is best girl but iin this case I'll make an exception for harem route with Echidna as well.

YOUR BEST NIGHTMARE • 1 year ago

Pov: shut-in-a
Your a shut in shutina

Glosty • 1 year ago

Correct πŸ‘πŸ» ;)

L0L1C0N • 1 year ago

I don't think thats gonna happen cz as far as i know Leo doesn't have any gender

Kunare • 1 year ago

He has a gender he's male which means he's a man. There are only 2 genders.

Yuki Rin Bushida • 1 year ago

It's genderless, it's just designed to look like a man. It's like calling a robot a female just because it has pseudo boobs on its chest

Kyurem White • 1 year ago

He said earlier he doesn't have a gender, so he may not be quite human.

Robert • 1 year ago

Agree - but you may just have triggered half the comments πŸ˜‚

L0L1C0N • 1 year ago

I now there's only 2 gender I don't support LGBTQ i was just saying that hes a biological weapon so you know hes genderless i guess. i mean he need a D*ck to be a man right?

Berstich • 1 year ago

sure, romance. Though its kinda like romancing a robot, she wont have any kids from him.

Rocker bee • 1 year ago

He isn't a robot lol. He is a bio weapon. He is more like a cyborg. If you know what bio means it basically means organic. He is an organic weapon, he is still flesh and blood and is more than likely capable of reproducing. The only thing that isn't organic about him is his heart. All of his other siblings that were bio weapons grew old and died according to the novel so he ain't a robot which is literally stated in the anime. He is a bio weapon.

Drake Lagon • 1 year ago

They cannot grow old man. They died in battle. Did you not hear Leo saying that 2-3 times?

RF2422 • 1 year ago

nah lol literally two of them are shown to be living idk about the rest thought

Rocker bee • 1 year ago

They are all living. They are BIO weapons. Bio literally is another term for biology or organic meaning they are living beings. They were just cloned with the potential DNA of demons since demons have more magical potential than humans which is why humanity created humans that had the power of demons. We see them bleed etc meaning they aren't robots. Like i said they have the term Bio classified in their species.

Berstich • 1 year ago

right...reason why I said 'kinda'. Also never read the novel so will ignore your outside information I couldnt possibly know in this context.

Rocker bee • 1 year ago

No problem.

TaliZorah2311 • 1 year ago

this was a half decent anime precisly because it didnt have the usual harem/romance/fan service.. could have been better..imo he should have died and ended the series but i'll take it as it is

TuffTuffSon • 2 months ago

Yes, it'd make a very interesting story indeed.

featherton • 1 year ago

It's a solid stopping point though. I'm satisfied with that ending. Way better than 95% of anime that end on a cliffhanger to promote the source material.

Niko-kun • 1 year ago

True. It’s the perfect balance between an ending for a show, and a good start for those that want to read the source material.

Redd • 1 year ago

True, it really seems like the main story plot has already been resolved, so much so that anything else to me just seems like padding. Great story though, I liked it.

Lucyw18 • 1 year ago

so its in the same boat as Sabikui Bisco who allso its entire anime season only being a single volume of the light novel

Rustin Landis • 1 year ago

Well, he was wrong about ever making a girl cry, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was wrong about being the only demonheart alive. Although, after 3,000 years, I'd say the probability is very low unless one of the demonhearts was an infiltration type that had been spying in the demon realm for all this time. If it started becoming self aware, I could see it sympathizing with demonkind for all the hardships they're struggling to live through and compared it to the lofty life humanity had. That set up an interesting villain that might be on par with Leo.

Aki-sama • 1 year ago

Do recall, one of the DH series' powers was infinite regeneration.
Infinite. Regeneration. yep

Rocker bee • 1 year ago

It's revealed in the novel that most of the demon hearts died of old age. The only reason mc is still alive is because his heart prevents him from aging. People keep confusing them for robots, they ain't robots, they're made from organic material which is why they can still bleed and stuff. The only thing that wasn't organic in them were their hearts. They're basically like android 18 from DBZ. They're artificially created but are still organic lifeforms.

BniX • 1 year ago

IIRC there are 3 volumes of the light novel and 6 volumes of the manga...

Izuku Midoriya • 1 year ago

manga has currently 34.1 chapters
while LN has 3 volumes
so start manga ch 17.1
and LN volume 2
as my fellow G said above trust me the LN and manga are a pretty good read and if some felt that there was no proper battle and battle after effects then the manga has that too example when leo was injured here in anime only a deep slash across his chest but in manga his entire right side was gone like he lost his arm and half his chest and half his stomach

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

Wow. Thanks for this lol

Kirito • 1 year ago

I'm just gonna wait for second season if it get one and I feel like the story would get mid if there's a second season because Leo is just so strong no one can beat him

Ricardo Brick • 1 year ago

You forgot the Leo from the future gone evil and rogue! he can beat him! (Joke)

BniX • 1 year ago

ENJOY... 😁

Sprayquaza • 1 year ago

I feel they should have just let him rest, its a bit selfish to let him live only for him to lose his friends , status and purpose once more

Kirito • 1 year ago

Same, I was like let Leo res in peace man he's going insane trying to save humanity and then there's that command that keep saying protect humanity and Leo just said please STOP and it stop and now leo is alive

Asta La Vista • 1 year ago

You see the thing is that he never truly "Lived". That's how i see it. He was a machine with one order only. But he developed consciousness and started wanting to actually enjoy life for what it is, but the order was what he was always afraid of not allowing to do so. If you remember he almost made the original weapons to anihilate humanity so that he could protect it again. and then he realized what that order was doing to him and consciously tried to fight it. Then thousands of years later he found a way to stop that order once and for all, and that was to kill himself with the help of Echidna and for her to take what she wants {The Philosophers stone} and go back to her world and have eternal peace with humanity, so a win-win kind of situation. BUT, apparently he has developed an almost completely human consciousness with a strong desire to enjoy life and he didn't know it until Shutina told him to try and kill that order to protect humanity. And he did cause he remembered what Eibrad told him that he should try and live a normal life and when humanity stops needing him its his chance to do so and as we saw from the first episode humanity doesn't need him anymore but he had forgotten about it and remembered that he wanted to live life and that he had something to actually live for and friends to enjoy life with and destroyed the order with the power of his will to live. At that moment LEO was born and Bioweapon DH-05 died. It was at THIS moment that he started actually living, So this seems like the absolute best way to conclude that story. Its like a killing machine becoming Human for the first time kind of story and just opens up huge potential for the further development of it. This feels like a Prologue more than a first season. It is now that the actual anime starts.

Granddaddy • 1 year ago

consider how long he will live though, it would be equivalent to him spending less than a year with them in human years assuming he spends even 100 years with them. Not worth it tbh considering the insanity hed go through in the remaining 3000+ years

Zeastank • 1 year ago

I too feel should let him die and rest. But i want to see Leo lose his sanity and burn the whole world as the strongest being.

K boy • 1 year ago

well at least is with the demon army now they have a much longer life span so he should be good for another couple of centuries and in that time he might find a way to lose his immortality

Bromomentonumerodos • 1 year ago

yeah, I think there have only been 3 demon kings/queen since he's been alive, and echidna said she was "only" 300 years older than shutina, so I'd say she at least probably has another 500 years

TuffTuffSon • 2 months ago

I mean it would have been a pretty good ending as well. Yes, sad it would have given the story quality. Leo dying as a dangerous machine who would harm the kind hearted Demon Queen who wants to bring order to her world AND to humanity since that was Leo's wish. It would have been a dramatically good ending with nice ending dialogs before he died.

However, I do understand this ending we got as well. I mean he HAS the Philosopher's Stone within him so when they finally got peace on earth they could just bring Leo to stay with them in the Demon World and make it a wonderful place with quality air, green grass and nature just like on earth.

Testarossa • 1 year ago

Anyways this whole season only adapted 1 volume ? That's crazy wtf

Jopet De Vera • 1 year ago

Yes. And the 2nd volume and 3rd volume is as long as this 1st volume. So pls Season 2 and Season 3 after the OVA pls....

Nikola Nikolov • 1 year ago

honestly im not surprised the pacing of this show is great and what i call a satisfying watch we used to get from 24/26 ep shows when those where the norm for a season and not the 12 ep format of today

WhiteTiger • 1 year ago

Agreed. Usually these sort of anime adapt like 5+ and feel insanely rushed. Yet this didn't feel slow. I honestly thought it was an entire adaptation or at the least a big part of the story.

MadMoXie • 1 year ago

Wow thanks for that info, I am gonna check out the manga and the light novels. not sure if they have gotten a English release yet?
